Feedback from some of our sponsors

‘To be a sponsor, to be able to help somebody I even had the chance to meet , and see the joy in his face has been a precious gift for me.
I’m so pleased to have the chance to help an old warm hearted man who has no support in his life - no country, no family, no state pension or social security system.
I am very thankful to have been able to meet this lovely man and his fellow Tibetans.’

'The idea of sponsoring a child has been with me for a few years, but I hadn't really progressed it at all, so when I heard about the TSGY scheme I was immediately interested. I felt I could be confident that my help was actually going to get to the right person.
I particularly wanted to sponsor a girl through her school years, and the TSGY scheme was able to pair me up with the ideal person, so I am now sponsoring a 13 year old girl who attends a Tibetan school, where she will be able to learn her traditional language and culture. The money that I give - little enough by our standards - makes a real difference to her and her family. I am so pleased to think that I can help someone in this way, and it feels quite special to have a connection with someone so distant, both geographically and culturally. I am looking forward to corresponding with her, and following her progress over the next few years.'

'Actually seeing the people who needed sponsorship made you realise it was impossible just to do nothing to help them. Then seeing the looks of gratitude and joy on their faces when they were told they had a sponsor was an incredible feeling....a small amount of money by our standards can help to transform the lives of these people and let them know they are cared about.'
